The M65 took the place of the M51 field Jacket. Its most notable differences included a built-in hood that could be folded into the collar and velcro on the sleeve cuffs and collar. Also, this Jacket has four generous pockets like the M43 and M51. It has internal buttons to allow the addition of liner and button-holes on the collar for a separate extreme-weather hood.
